Gym/Court Supervisor Guidelines
Arrive 30 minutes before the 1st game and establish home and visitor benches; Announce no one except playing teams on the court at half-time.
Assure the teams have their rosters entered into the home team's book 10 minutes before game time (so the officials will not have to wait on checking rosters)
Assure that the visiting team has an experienced clock operator, if not, then the home team may also provide the clock operator. (If neither team has a clock operator, be prepared to operate the clock & notify NCHEAC).
If there is not a possession arrow on the clock, make one from paper. Make sure the clock operator has a way of timing time outs.
Assure that the following time is on the clock for quarters: 6 (SIX) minutes for middle school; 8 (EIGHT) minutes for JV AND Varsity.
Record the final results and text them to 336 918-9143 or e-mail them to email@example.com.
Obtain the losing coach's all-tournament picks before the coach leaves the gym (1 pick). If it is a championship game, obtain winning coach (3 picks); runner-up (2 picks).
Ask the fans to help with trash pick up after each game.
Depending on facility rules, notify fans and teams about drinks in the gym or at the benches
